Meeting of the Army Commander with the High Supervisory Committee on the Border Protection Aid Program

The Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, chaired a meeting of the High Supervisory Committee on the Border Protection Aid Program in Yarzeh, attended by U.S. Ambassador Dorothy Shea, British Ambassador Hamish Cowell, and Canadian Ambassador Stefanie McCollum, along with members of the joint working team. The ambassadors praised the efforts made by the Lebanese Army in monitoring and securing the borders, as well as its role in combating terrorism and maintaining Lebanon's security and stability. They also reaffirmed their countries' commitment to supporting the Army in its various missions, particularly in border control. On the other hand, General Aoun thanked the American, British, and Canadian authorities for their continued support for the Army, highlighting its essential role in developing military unit capabilities to enable them to perform their missions.
