The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated today, Thursday, that the forced evacuation of hospitals in the Gaza Strip endangers the lives of hundreds of patients. He added, "Orders have been issued to evacuate 23 hospitals in Gaza City and the northern part of the territory, and forced evacuation in these circumstances will threaten the lives of hundreds of patients." Ghebreyesus, during a press conference in Geneva, again called for a humanitarian ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas to assist thousands of injured individuals, noting that there are 21,000 injured on both sides and 1.4 million displaced people in Gaza. He said, "Our words fail to describe the horrors unfolding in Gaza."
