Netanyahu: The UNRWA Mission Must Be Ended

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today, Wednesday, that "the mission of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) must be ended." A statement from Netanyahu's office noted that he said before a UN delegation, "It is time for the international community and the UN itself to understand that the UNRWA mission must be ended." He added, "It seeks to perpetuate the issue of Palestinian refugees. We must replace other UN agencies and other relief agencies with UNRWA if we want to solve the Gaza problem as we plan to do."
