Sardar Azmoun and Romelu Lukaku scored two goals in stoppage time to give Roma a late 2-1 victory over their visitors Lecce in Serie A on Sunday. Lecce's striker Pontus Almqvist put the visitors ahead in the 72nd minute with a low shot into the bottom left corner of the net before Iranian striker Azmoun equalized for Roma with a header, and Lukaku scored the winning goal, both occurring in stoppage time.
Belgian striker Lukaku missed an early chance to put coach José Mourinho's team ahead from a penalty kick. Roma was awarded a penalty after Paulo Dybala's shot hit Federico Baschirotto's hand, but Lukaku sent a low shot down the middle which was saved by Lecce goalkeeper Vladimiro Falcone in the fifth minute.
Roma climbed to eighth place in the league with 17 points from 11 matches, trailing four points behind fourth-placed Napoli and 11 points behind league leaders Inter Milan. Lecce is in 11th place with 13 points.
