What is the Truth About the Arrest of Artist Mohamed Ramadan?

After spending more than two months outside of Egypt due to his artistic commitments in several countries, artist Mohamed Ramadan returned to Cairo to follow up on a case in which he was sentenced to one year in absentia for allegedly spreading false news about a private bank in Egypt. Concurrently, in recent hours, news spread on social media claiming that "Number One" was arrested as soon as he landed at Cairo Airport. However, the famous star's lawyer, Ahmed El-Gendy, clarified that these rumors are untrue and mentioned that he had filed an appeal against the ruling issued against Mohamed Ramadan before his return to Cairo. A hearing for the case is scheduled for February 21st. He also stated that Ramadan arrived at the airport normally and then went home, according to local media reports.
