Washington Warns of Rising Tensions Between Israel and Hezbollah

The U.S. State Department announced today, Tuesday, that the United States does not want to see further tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. It added that Israel has assured Washington that it seeks a diplomatic solution to the issue. Hezbollah stated that it launched a barrage of rockets at an Israeli air monitoring base earlier today in response to the deepest attack by the Israeli army so far on Lebanese territory, and there have been no reports of casualties resulting from the rocket attack yet.
