The Russian news agency TASS reported that Nikolai Patrushev, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, held a meeting with a prominent Iranian security official, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The two parties discussed security issues in the Middle East and Central Asia, as well as prospects for Russian-Iranian cooperation in combating the challenges and threats to the security of both countries.
