The Egyptian presidency announced that President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received a phone call from King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regarding the situation in Palestine. Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy stated that "the call involved consultation on the latest developments and the ongoing escalation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, where recent developments were reviewed, and emphasis was placed on the priority of regional and international efforts to stop the escalation and violence, exercise restraint, preserve lives, and prevent further deterioration of the situation." It was also agreed to "continue and intensify consultations and coordination between Egypt and Jordan to enhance efforts to achieve calm, leading to the advancement of a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution, in accordance with relevant international legitimacy references, ensuring the establishment of peace and stability in the region."
