The website "Times of Israel" reported today, Wednesday, that Israel is engaged in secret talks with the Democratic Republic of the Congo regarding the reception of displaced people from Gaza. The site mentioned that Israeli officials led informal discussions with Congo and several other countries to continue discussions on the potential acceptance of Palestinians from Gaza. According to a high-level source in the Israeli security cabinet, whose name was not disclosed, the information suggests that the Democratic Republic of the Congo may be willing to host the displaced people, and there are ongoing talks with other countries in this context.
According to the source, Intelligence Minister Gila Gamliel stated in a Knesset session yesterday, Tuesday, that at the end of the war, the rule of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is expected to collapse, and the civilian population will rely completely on humanitarian aid without any municipal authorities. Gamliel explained that there will be no job opportunities at the end of the war, and it is expected that 60 percent of agricultural land in Gaza will turn into security buffer zones. She noted that the challenges facing Gaza are not solely Israel's responsibility and called on the international community to support "humanitarian migration," asserting that this is the "only available solution."
