The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority successfully thwarted two attempted smuggling operations involving more than 117,000 Captagon pills and over 6,000 grams of shabu. These substances were found concealed in two trucks that arrived in the kingdom through the recent ports.

In the first attempt, the Al-Haditha customs succeeded in thwarting the smuggling of 117,210 Captagon pills, which were discovered hidden in various parts of one of the trucks. In the second attempt, the Al-Bathaa customs intercepted 6,170 grams of shabu, which was found concealed inside a fire extinguisher in one of the trucks entering the kingdom.

After completing the seizure operation, coordination was made with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control to ensure the capture of those receiving the seized materials within the kingdom, leading to the arrest of three individuals.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority emphasized its commitment to tightening customs control over the kingdom's imports and exports, standing firm against the attempts of smugglers. This effort aligns with the key pillars of its strategy to enhance community safety and protection by reducing attempts to smuggle such harmful substances and other prohibited items.
