Arda Turan, the former player of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, is going through one of the most difficult moments of his life after being subjected to a major fraud in Turkey. The Turkish international retired last year after playing more than 500 matches in the Turkish and Spanish leagues, in addition to 100 international matches for Turkey.
The Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported on Wednesday that Arda Turan is not in the best state in his personal and financial life after being defrauded by a bank in his country, losing up to 13 million euros. The player remarked in circulating statements: "I have been deceived; they told me that those who invest in this fund would make a profit. I gave more than 13 million; all the money I earned disappeared suddenly."
The report indicated that Arda Turan was deceived by a former bank manager.
