US Fleet: Explosion of Houthi Boat in the Red Sea

The U.S. Navy commander in the Middle East, Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, announced that "a Houthi drone boat loaded with explosive materials exploded in the Red Sea today, Thursday, but it was not close enough to any U.S. Navy or commercial vessels to cause any damage or casualties," describing it as a "failed" attack. He explained to reporters that "the Houthis have carried out 25 attacks so far on commercial vessels crossing the southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden," noting that "there are no signs that their irresponsible behavior is diminishing." Cooper stated, "It came within a few miles of the vessels operating in the area... commercial vessels and U.S. Navy ships... and we all saw its explosion."
