Reema Rahbani, the daughter of Fairouz, wished her mother a happy 88th birthday in a post on her social media pages. She shared a video from Fairouz's archive of her rehearsing and singing "In the Darkness of the Night."
Reema accompanied the video with the following message: "Wishing for every year to come with health, love, and peace of mind... and for days to be more beautiful and kinder... with goodness, justice, and peace... Dedicated from the heart to Palestine... my country's hills overwhelmed with tears and blood."
