The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and the Qatari Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, chaired the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council in Doha today, Sunday. At the beginning of the meeting, the Qatari Prime Minister welcomed the Saudi Foreign Minister. This was followed by a presentation by the teams from the General Secretariat of the Council regarding the preparatory work and outcomes of the subcommittees emanating from the Council and their teams during the past period, which included targeted goals, initiatives, and memoranda of understanding to be signed on the sidelines of the upcoming meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council. The heads of the executive committee from both sides commended the cooperation and coordination established among the council's subcommittees and the teams from the General Secretariat of the Council on both sides, which comes in preparation for the seventh council meeting, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination between both sides to meet the aspirations of the leadership of the two countries and achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
