The Yemeni embassy in Egypt announced the discovery of Hassan bin Jalal Al-Abdi, director of the War Production Department at the Yemeni Ministry of Defense, dead in his apartment in Cairo. Sources close to Al-Abdi stated that the incident occurred two days ago without anyone knowing. After his disappearance, his apartment lock was broken, and he was found bound with multiple stab wounds on his body. Major General Hassan Al-Abdi was the first to begin manufacturing armored vehicles for the Yemeni army known as (Jalal 1, 2, and 3) during the presidency of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, and he was close to Saleh's son Ahmed Ali Saleh.
