Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed out that both Russian and NATO representatives see the steadfast and consistent position of the Kyiv regime in rejecting the possibility of negotiations with Russia. This came during Peskov’s commentary on a statement made by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, who emphasized that "Ukraine's surrender is not peace." Peskov added, "At the moment, we – as well as NATO representatives – can see only one thing: a relatively firm stance from the Kyiv regime denying the possibility of any negotiations. This is the reality on the ground." He reminded that "a law has been issued in Ukraine prohibiting any negotiations with Russia." Stoltenberg had stated last Monday that Ukraine's surrender would not achieve peace and that negotiations are needed, which he said should "maintain Ukraine as a sovereign and independent state."
