The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, Turki Al Sheikh, expressed his hope for Al Ahly Club to win against Zamalek in the final of the "Egypt Cup" for the 2023/2022 season. The Egyptian Football Association, in collaboration with its Saudi counterpart, announced that the Saudi capital, Riyadh, will host the final match of the tournament between "The Red Giant" and "The White Knight" on March 8th. In a conversation with MBC Masr channel, Turki Al Sheikh stated: "The broadcast will be of the highest quality; we spoke with the World Cup director, and there will be the largest possible studio. There will be surprises and Egyptian events beforehand." He explained that the audience attendance will be "mostly reserved for our Egyptian brothers," emphasizing that it will be a historic day, with a cup that befits Egypt and its name. The "Red Giant" is considered the most successful team in the history of the Egypt Cup with 38 titles, followed by "The White Knight" with 28 titles.
