Stuttgart Stumbles to Draw with Cologne, Remains in Third Place

Stuttgart drew 1-1 at home with Cologne, missing the chance to close the gap on second-placed Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Stuttgart took the lead from their first opportunity in the second half after a quick pass penetrated Cologne's defense in the 53rd minute, reaching Enzo Millot, who scored. Eric Martel equalized for the visitors in the 62nd minute, and Cologne had a chance late on to secure all three points in the 86th minute when Faride Alidou found himself one-on-one but shot the ball wide of the goal. Stuttgart remains in third place with 47 points, while second-placed Bayern Munich, with 50 points, will host RB Leipzig later on Saturday.
