Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, during a visit to Lebanon on Saturday, emphasized that "political solutions are the only way to end the Gaza conflict and that Tehran is in talks with Riyadh regarding the issue." He also warned that any moves by Israel towards a comprehensive war on Lebanon would mark "the last day for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu." Abdollahian pointed out that "his country has exchanged messages with the United States since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, including messages regarding the Lebanese Hezbollah group." He added during his visit to Beirut: "During this war and in the past few weeks, Iran and the U.S. have exchanged messages." He continued by saying that "Washington has asked Tehran to urge Hezbollah not to engage extensively and fully in this war against Israel."
