The World Food Programme reported today, Wednesday, that the first aid convoy heading directly from Jordan to the Gaza Strip since the war began in October has transported 750 tons of food supplies to the region. The Programme stated in a statement: "This important first step could pave the way for a more sustainable aid corridor through Jordan, allowing for the delivery of more extensive assistance."
