Deputy Speaker of Parliament Elias Bou Saab received a delegation from the "American Task Force for Lebanon" led by Ambassador Edward Gabriel in his office at the Parliament today, where he confirmed the "continuity of support and assistance for Lebanon." The discussion also covered the issue of land borders, as well as the topics hindering the achievement of a final agreement with the International Monetary Fund and the necessity of enacting reform laws to initiate the rescue reform process.
Additionally, the Director General of Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Othman, received Ambassador Edward Gabriel in his office at the general headquarters in the afternoon, where they discussed ways to support the Internal Security Forces and its personnel during these challenging economic circumstances facing the country. Present at the meeting were Brigadier General Ali Sakineh, Head of the Information Branch, and Brigadier General Jihad Abu Murad, Head of the Office of the Director General of Internal Security.
