The President of the Syndicate of Tour and Travel Agencies, Jean Aboud, revealed in a statement that "reservations by Lebanese appear promising during the holiday period," indicating that "the flow of returning Lebanese expatriates during the holidays will come from various regions around the world, especially the Gulf, Africa, and even Europe and America, among others." Regarding incoming tourism to Lebanon from non-Lebanese, he confirmed that it "is limited to Arabs coming from Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt," revealing that "European tourism has been nonexistent since October 7, 2023, when we witnessed cancellations of reservations that have not increased again." Aboud pointed out that "if a permanent ceasefire is achieved in Gaza, the tourism situation will require about a month to show noticeable improvement," predicting "that tourist activity will be better than it was last summer, if not at the same levels, in the event of a ceasefire."
