On the occasion of International Women's Day, politicians extended their greetings to women around the world, especially Lebanese women.
In this context, the head of the "Lebanese Forces" party, MP Samy Gemayel, wrote on "X": "On International Women's Day, we renew our commitment to continue the struggle until achieving full equality between women and men. The road may be long, but our determination has not and will not weaken."
MP Selim El-Sayegh wrote on "X": "Women are not just a set of distinct traits or specific roles that justify their elevation and kind treatment; they are a human value in themselves. Their dignity comes from the Creator without grace; a salute to them on their day!"
For her part, MP Inaya Ezzeddine wrote on "X": "On International Women's Day, our hearts and minds are with every woman present in sites of struggle, resistance, and fight of all kinds, especially the Lebanese woman in the south and the Palestinian woman in Gaza, who embody the pain of millions of tortured women throughout centuries. Raising our voices against Israel for the women, children, and men of Gaza and southern Lebanon is a necessary condition so that International Women's Day does not lose its true meaning."
