In the backdrop of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has entered its third month, near-daily incursions in the West Bank continue. An Israeli drone targeted the Nour Shams camp east of Tulkarm today, Wednesday. Tulkarm's Thabit Hospital announced the arrival of 6 dead and several injured due to this attack. This occurred after Israeli forces obstructed ambulance access for over an hour, according to eyewitnesses.
Israeli forces, enhanced with reinforcements, stormed Tulkarm city at night, while sniper teams occupied the rooftops and turned them into observation points. Clashes erupted between the residents of Nour Shams camp and the Israeli soldiers, who opened fire and unleashed a barrage of sound and gas grenades. Military bulldozers accompanied the invading Israeli forces, destroying streets and damaging infrastructure.
Notably, this is the second incursion into Nour Shams camp within 24 hours. Additionally, the Israeli army launched a campaign of raids and arrests targeting the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron, the Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem, Ain Yabrud northeast of Ramallah, as well as Tubas and Tulkarm in the northern West Bank. Several Palestinians were arrested, and searches were conducted in dozens of targeted homes as part of their daily operations in the cities, villages, and camps of the West Bank.
