Successful Auction of Saudi Falcons

The Saudi Falcon Club concluded the fourth edition of the auction dedicated to local falcons, held at its headquarters in Melhim, north of Riyadh, from October 1 until November 15. The official spokesperson for the Saudi Falcon Club, Walid Al-Talib, confirmed that this edition of the auction showcased 87 falcons with sales exceeding 7 million and 414 thousand riyals. A total of 278 falcon owners participated in this edition, with a falcon known as "East Arar" leading as the most expensive falcon sold for 300 thousand riyals.

Al-Talib explained that the auction aligns with the leadership's commitment to promoting the heritage of falcon hunting and supporting falcon owners in the Kingdom and the region. It reflects the club's role in supporting cultural, civilizational, and economic activities related to the falcon hunting hobby. The auction aims to foster investment in the field of falcons and to develop and organize the mechanisms for buying and selling them.

He noted that the club provided several benefits to the falcon owners, which significantly contributed to the success of the auction season, expressing gratitude to everyone who participated in making the auction a success. On the final night, the Saudi Falcon Club continued to motivate the participants by holding a draw for two cars, with the first won by falcon owners Rakan and Abdullah Al-Zu'bi, while the second car went to falcon owner Mutaq Al-Juhani. Additionally, there was a draw for 20 prizes, each valued at 5 thousand riyals.

The final night of the auction featured the sale of four falcons for a total of 351 thousand riyals. It began with "Shahin Farakh" from Al-Dabdabah, which was sold for 76 thousand riyals with the participation of five falcon owners. The second falcon, "Shahin Farakh" from Al-Ahsa, was offered to falcon owners Mohammed and Rashid Al-Murri and sold for 141 thousand riyals. The third falcon, "Shahin Farakh" from Al-Hanou, owned by falconer Ibrahim Al-Juhani, sold for 71 thousand riyals. The night concluded with the sale of the fourth falcon, "Shahin Farakh," from Al-Turaif, which was sold for 63 thousand riyals after eight falcon owners participated in the bidding.
