Iraqi Army Executes Military Operation Against "ISIS"

The Iraqi army announced today, Thursday, the execution of a wide-ranging military operation in the Wadi al-Shai area in Kirkuk province, northern Iraq. An army officer told the Jordanian news agency (Petra) that Iraqi forces conducted a large-scale search operation near the village of Wadi al-Shai, south of Kirkuk province, 240 km north of the capital Baghdad, looking for "ISIS" locations. He added that the village of Wadi al-Shai is considered an important and strategic site and a launching point for "ISIS" to carry out attacks on the provinces of Mosul and Kirkuk due to the rugged terrain of the village.
