Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Hilal praised the abilities of his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, ahead of their match tomorrow, Thursday, in the Riyadh Season Cup 2024. Al-Nassr's coach, Luis Castro, announced that Ronaldo is ready to participate in the Riyadh Derby after recovering from injury.
In statements during today's pre-match press conference, Jesus said: "Ronaldo is a great player with fantastic capabilities, but we are in good shape and eager to win." He added, "The players feel good both mentally and physically before the match, and I believe the team is ready to perform well."
He continued: "We showcased a brilliant level in the match against Inter Miami, and I hope to face Al-Nassr in the same manner with the goal of achieving victory." He also spoke about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying: "I believe the Riyadh Season is watched all over the world, as it features many stars from different fields and cultures."
He concluded: "What is happening in Saudi football is remarkable, and Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal bear a major responsibility to perform brilliantly in front of the world's eyes." He finished by stating, "The Saudi league is very strong, and no team should be taken lightly; we always strive to stand out."
