Migrants Attempt to Forcefully Enter Poland via Belarus

The Polish Border Guard announced an attempt by illegal migrants to break through the fence along the border between Poland and Belarus and infiltrate Polish territory. A statement from the agency noted: "Last night, illegal migrants attempted to destroy technical means at a section of the border in the area of the village of Czeremcha. Thanks to alerts from the electronic fence, Border Guard personnel were able to respond quickly and effectively to thwart the illegal attempt to enter Poland and the European Union." The statement added that 28 individuals, including people from Egypt, Iran, and Iraq, attempted to infiltrate Poland from Belarus over the past day.
