Three Lebanese Restaurants Among the Best in the Middle East

The website "50best" has published the third edition of its list of the top 50 restaurants in the Middle East and North Africa, with voting participation from 250 regional restaurant experts from 19 different countries in the area. Each expert had the right to cast 7 votes, with a maximum of 5 votes directed to restaurants in their home country. The results indicated that 34% of the committee members are chefs, 33% are food writers, and 33% are food enthusiasts. Dubai restaurants dominated the list with 18 entries, followed by restaurants in Amman and Cairo with five each, and three restaurants from both Beirut and Marrakech. The Dubai-based restaurants took the top spots, with "Orfali Bros" leading the list for the second consecutive year, followed by three other Dubai establishments: "Tresind Studio," "Ossiano," and "Monraz." Cairo's "Khufo" ranked fifth. On the Lebanese front, three Lebanese restaurants made the list, with "Em Sherif" ranking eighth regionally, followed by "The Baron" in Mar Mikhael at the 16th position, and "Table Mark Mikhael," which has three local branches as well as one in Paris, coming in at 31st in the region.
