In a provocative statement made at Beirut Airport, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian remarked that "all possibilities are open in the region." He said, "We are here in Beirut to loudly indicate that the Islamic countries, governments, and peoples cannot tolerate the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy." He arrived at the general aviation building at Rafik Hariri International Airport at eleven o'clock on Thursday night, where he was welcomed by MP Ayoub Hamid representing Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, MPs Ibrahim Mousawi and Amin Sherri, the Director of Protocol at the Lebanese Foreign Ministry Ambassador Abeer Ali, the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani, as well as representatives from Hamas and Islamic Jihad, Ahmed Abdul Hadi and Ihsan Attaya.
Abdollahian stated, "I will hold talks with Lebanese officials about the situation in Gaza, and with the ongoing war crimes against the Palestinians, all possibilities are open in the region." He continued, "The continued war crimes by the Israeli occupation will receive a response from the other factions." He added, "I congratulate the Palestinian people on the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, which is a response to Netanyahu's war crimes." He viewed the bombing of Gaza, displacement, and cutting off water supplies as war crimes committed by the Zionist entity.
