Two Palestinian organizations reported that Israeli forces arrested at least 25 Palestinians in the West Bank last night, including the sisters of Saleh Al-Arouri, Deputy Head of Hamas's Political Bureau, who was killed in the southern suburbs of Beirut earlier this month. The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Club issued a joint statement indicating that "15 citizens working in Gaza were also arrested in the town of Bardala in Salfit governorate," referring to laborers who were in Israel before Hamas's attack on southern Israel on October 7.
The Prisoners Club specified that Dalaal Al-Arouri (53 years old) was arrested from her home in the town of 'Aroub, north of Ramallah, and her sister Fatima (48 years old) was taken from her home in the city of Al-Bireh. No comment has been made by Israeli authorities regarding the arrest of the sisters Dalaal and Fatima Al-Arouri. The joint statement about the new arrests noted, "The total number of arrests has risen to nearly 5,875. This total includes those arrested from homes, at military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender under pressure, and those detained as hostages."
