Saudi Arabia reiterated its stance regarding the recent tensions between Israel and Iran, stating that the region cannot endure more conflicts, emphasizing that “de-escalation is a priority.” Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan clarified that a ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been affected by the Israeli war for months, has become a necessity.
He underscored the importance of making more efforts to end the suffering of Gaza's residents, pointing out that international efforts for a ceasefire are entirely insufficient. In a press conference with his Pakistani counterpart, he emphasized that the region cannot bear further conflicts, stressing that de-escalation is a priority, referencing the recent tensions from the Israeli targeting of the Iranian consulate in Syria and the Iranian response with missile strikes on Israel last Saturday.
