The UN humanitarian coordinator in the Palestinian territories announced that the organization will issue a call on Wednesday to raise $2.8 billion aimed at assisting the Palestinian population in Gaza and the West Bank during 2024. Andrea di Domenico stated in a video press conference, "We will launch the appeal for donors by the end of the year. Along with humanitarian groups, we request $2.8 billion to assist three million people identified in the West Bank and Gaza." He added, "Certainly, ninety percent (of the amount) is allocated for Gaza," explaining that the humanitarian plan for 2024 was initially estimated at four billion dollars but was reduced to $2.8 billion due to difficulties in delivering humanitarian aid.
