Gunmen Kidnap

Gunmen dressed in military uniforms kidnapped the Iraqi blogger and TV presenter, Dalia Naim, known as the "Barbie of Iraq," in the Al-Mansour area of central Baghdad, before releasing her after assaulting her on the outskirts of the capital. An Iraqi security source stated that the Baghdad Intelligence Directorate formed a team to follow up on Naim's kidnapping, which occurred after she left a beauty center in the Al-Mansour area. The source indicated that "the perpetrators threw the kidnapped woman out after verbally and physically assaulting her on the highway leading to the Al-Ridwaniyah area west of the capital," noting that "intelligence agencies tracked surveillance cameras from the center and nearby houses to gather information and evidence to reach the perpetrators who were dressed in military uniforms." For its part, a medical source at Yarmouk Hospital revealed that Dalia Naim arrived at the hospital in poor condition, suffering from bruises and contusions in the head and elbow.
