President of "COP28": We Must Address Climate Change Challenges

The UAE's Climate Envoy, Sheikh Sultan Al Jaber, appointed to lead the United Nations Climate Change Conference "COP28," emphasized the importance of adopting a comprehensive approach to combating climate change during the "Sierra Week" energy conference in Houston on Monday. He urged the oil and gas sector to come together to achieve net-zero emissions goals. Al Jaber, who also heads the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), stated, "I know that some of you may have felt excluded from the climate dialogue in the past, while others felt it was not their problem to solve." He added, "I also know that the energy sector leaders in this room have the knowledge, expertise, experience, and resources needed to address the dual challenges of advancing sustainable progress while reducing emissions."
