After the Houthis claimed responsibility for a missile attack on an oil tanker they said was British, which was sailing off the western coast of Yemen on the night of Friday to Saturday, U.S. Central Command "CENTCOM" revealed some details. In a statement published on their account on the platform X (formerly Twitter) today, Saturday, they explained that the Houthis fired three anti-ship ballistic missiles at 17:49 (14:49 GMT) from areas they control in Yemen toward the Red Sea, where two commercial ships were located. They added that the ship "Andromeda Star" reported minor damage but continued its journey. It noted that this ship is owned by the United Kingdom, flying the flag of Panama, and operated by Seychelles. Furthermore, they confirmed that "no injuries or other damage to U.S. ships, coalition vessels, or commercial vessels were reported." Earlier, the British maritime security agency "UKMTO" reported that a ship was damaged after being subjected to two consecutive attacks off the coast of Mocha, Yemen. The agency, managed by the British Royal Navy, posted on the platform X that it received "a report from a ship about two attacks" approximately 14 nautical miles southwest of Mocha in Yemen.
