Ukrainian Foreign Minister Requests "NATO Birthday Gift"

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba asked NATO for more American "Patriot" air defense systems during the celebration of the alliance's 75th anniversary. Kuleba stated before a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers to mark the 75th anniversary, "I do not want to spoil the birthday celebration, but my only message is Patriot. We are talking about Patriot because it is the only system capable of intercepting ballistic missiles." NATO is celebrating its 75th anniversary on April 4, with a series of events planned at the alliance's headquarters in Brussels, including the participation of foreign ministers from 32 member countries, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, and military leaders. The program includes raising the NATO flag, laying wreaths, and performances by military bands.
