The Israeli army announced that it targeted an official in Hezbollah's missile unit following an airstrike that hit the town of Bazourieh in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon. They indicated that "the target, Ali Naeem, was one of the party's leaders allied with Iran in launching heavy munitions."
The Israel Defense Forces reported that earlier today, an aircraft carried out an operation in the Bazourieh area, resulting in the elimination of Ali Abdul Hassan Naeem, Deputy Commander of Hezbollah's missile and munitions unit. Ali Naeem was described as a significant expert in the party's operations.
A video was released showing the moment of the targeting of Naeem's vehicle, which Israel described as being responsible for orchestrating and planning attacks against Israeli civilians. The footage, shared by army spokesperson Avichay Adraee on X, demonstrated how the aircraft tracked the vehicle on the Bazourieh-Wadi Jilo road and targeted it accurately.
Reports suggest that Naeem was one of the first-generation members of Hezbollah and has fought in Syria and Yemen as well. He held the position of Deputy Commander of the missile and munitions unit and possessed extensive experience in the party's field operations and a deep knowledge of missile technology. Subsequently, Hezbollah mourned Naeem along with six other members in a statement, noting they "fell on the road to Jerusalem," referencing the Israeli airstrikes, without providing details on the locations and sites of their deaths.
