Israeli Foreign Ministry Accuses Iran of Piracy After Ship Seizure

Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz accused Iran of piracy after the seizure of a ship linked to Israel in the Strait of Hormuz, calling on the world to recognize the Revolutionary Guard as a "terrorist organization." Katz stated, "The regime of Ayatollah Khamenei is a criminal regime that supports the crimes of Hamas and is now engaging in piracy in violation of international law." He also urged the European Union to declare the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a "terrorist organization" and impose sanctions on Tehran. Furthermore, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari stated that the Iranian side would bear responsibility if the situation escalated in the region, emphasizing readiness for "all possible scenarios." He added that "Iran will face repercussions for its decision to escalate the situation further. Israel is on high alert and prepared to respond."
