"Ansar Allah": The United States and Britain Bear the Consequences of "Militarizing" the Red Sea

The "Ansar Allah" Houthi group announced that Washington and London bear the consequences of "militarizing" the Red Sea, asserting that targeting Israeli ships or those heading to Israel aims to pressure for an end to the war in Gaza, according to "Russia Today." Spokesman for Ansar Allah, Mohammed Abdul Salam, stated, "The United States should have responded to the call of the peoples of the world and forced Israel to stop its aggression against Gaza, but it opted for escalation and expanding the conflict contrary to its claims." He added, "The Americans and British bear the consequences of militarizing the Red Sea."

He reiterated, "We have repeatedly confirmed that the Israeli ships or those headed to the ports of occupied Palestine are the targets to pressure the enemy entity to stop its aggression and blockade on Gaza." He emphasized that "the Yemeni forces do not target any ship without warning it to refrain from crossing; some comply and retreat, while others refuse, leading to their targeting." Abdul Salam stressed that "the world should not be misled by America and forget the genocidal crimes committed by Israel against the people of Gaza with full American support."

The "Ansar Allah" group targets cargo ships in the Red Sea owned and operated by Israeli companies that transport goods to and from Israel, in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza. In response, the United States and its allies formed a military force to deal with the Houthi strikes. Previously, American and British aircraft carried out multiple strikes on various areas in Yemen.
