Did Paris Offer 200 Million to Sign Barcelona Star?

A report released today, Sunday, revealed the truth behind Paris Saint-Germain's offer to acquire Lamine Yamal, a star from Barcelona, in recent weeks. Reports indicated that Paris offered 200 million euros to sign Yamal, intending for him to be the successor to Kylian Mbappé, who is set to leave PSG next summer.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, mentioned on his YouTube channel: "It is important to comment on the dialogue from Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, who confirmed the rejection of an offer for Lamine Yamal amounting to 200 million euros."

He added: "According to reliable sources, the club planning to send this offer is Paris, but there is no confirmation that any official offer has actually arrived." He noted, "However, the matter is being handled through inquiries about the transfer and contacting the club, as well as using agents to mediate between the two clubs."

Romano continued: "Laporta confirmed his refusal to allow Yamal to leave because Barcelona plans for him to be the face of the club's future project. Additionally, Barça is confident that the player will sign a new contract next year when he turns 18."

He concluded: "Barcelona's confidence in signing Yamal to a new contract is due to the special relationship between the club and the player's representatives, as well as the fact that Barça will offer him an important contract." It is worth noting that Yamal's current contract with Barcelona ends in the summer of 2026.
