The UAE Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with the opposition leader in Israel, Yair Lapid, where they discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Abdullah emphasized "the urgent importance of pushing towards finding a serious political outlook to resume negotiations for comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, which contributes to establishing stability and achieving sustainable security in the region and ending the escalating violence it is witnessing." He stressed "the importance of working towards achieving a ceasefire and avoiding the expansion of the conflict in the region," noting that "the priority is to end the tension and violence, protect the lives of civilians, and make every effort to facilitate the flow of urgent humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza through safe and unobstructed corridors in an intensive and sustainable manner."
