UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held discussions with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding the friendly relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the two countries, as well as ways to develop them in all fields to serve their mutual interests and achieve the aspirations of their peoples for sustainable development and prosperity. During the meeting, which took place at the Al Shati Palace, the UAE President welcomed El-Sisi, who congratulated him on the achievement made by the UAE in the field of space, specifically the longest Arab space mission in Arab history, expressing his wishes for further progress for the UAE in various fields.
The two presidents reviewed cooperation pathways, especially in vital developmental, economic, and investment sectors, discussing promising opportunities to expand their horizons in a way that fulfills the mutual interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples. They also examined several issues and files of common interest, along with the latest developments on regional and international arenas, exchanging viewpoints on these matters. They emphasized the importance of working towards finding peaceful solutions to crises in the region through dialogue and diplomatic means, which would enhance the foundations of regional peace and stability.
The meeting also touched on the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which the UAE will host at the end of this year, highlighting its significance in continuing to advance collective climate action, particularly in the fields of sustainability and environmental resource preservation, benefiting all and contributing to achieving a better future for humanity. Both leaders affirmed their commitment to continuing the brotherly consultation between the two countries and emphasized the importance of strengthening joint Arab action in light of regional and international challenges to ensure the security and stability of the region and to achieve sustainable development and prosperity for its peoples.
