Al-Qassam Brigades announced today, Sunday, that it carried out two separate operations, after which Israeli army helicopters were seen transporting the injured to hospitals, amidst reports of fatalities. The Al-Qassam Brigades stated that their fighters lured an "armored force" into a landmine ambush, using explosives and F16 missiles that were launched at civilians but did not detonate on Al-Sikka Street in the Al-Maghazi area of the Gaza Strip.
Sources for Al-Arabi TV reported the death of two Israeli soldiers from the 99th Division and eight injuries in an operation at the Netzarim corridor south of Gaza City. A video showed injured soldiers arriving at one of the Israeli hospitals.
Additionally, they stated that they shelled the command headquarters of the 99th Division in the Netzarim axis, which separates Gaza City from the central Gaza area and is near the Al-Maghazi area where the landmine ambush took place.
Israeli helicopters were seen transporting the injured from the site of the operations at different times, the first before dusk and the other after nightfall. Al-Arabi TV reported that the helicopters transported the injured to Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva and Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
Rotter reported three fatalities and eleven injuries. Israeli media circulated news of a "security incident" followed by the transportation of injuries to hospitals via helicopters, indicating that the details are under military censorship so far. Meanwhile, groups on WhatsApp were spreading news of casualties from the shelling.
