UAE President Receives Delegation from McGill University

UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a delegation from McGill University in Canada today. During the meeting held at Al Bahar Palace in Abu Dhabi, bin Zayed welcomed the delegation, which included several university officials, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to building partnerships with the world's top educational institutions and universities to prepare quality national personnel, especially in the fields of modern sciences and technology. He explained that investing in qualified youth who possess creativity and innovation skills is a key priority in the UAE's developmental vision, which focuses on youth as a valuable asset that should be nurtured and maximized.

For its part, the delegation expressed happiness at meeting the UAE President, praising the attention the UAE gives to modern sciences and technology as part of its vision for sustainable development. The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court launched the "McGill UAE Fellowships" program in the fields of science and engineering in collaboration with McGill University in 2015, aimed at supporting national personnel in completing their education in the faculties of science and engineering at McGill University in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The fellowship is awarded to outstanding master's and doctoral students, and the program supports students in benefiting from training opportunities in distinguished scientific and engineering companies, along with civil visits within and outside Canada under the university's supervision.
