Sources and activists in Lebanon and Syria confirmed today, Friday, the death of Ahmad Jawad Shuheimi, one of the prominent leaders of Hezbollah in Syria, due to an Israeli airstrike in Aleppo. According to consistent sources, the strike resulted in the death of 5 Hezbollah leaders in Syria, alongside Shuheimi, whose names have been circulated on pro-Hezbollah platforms and websites. They are: Alaa Nasrallah, Abdul Jalil Shahour, Ahmad Jawad Shuheimi, Abu Haidar Shams, Malak Al-Bayrouti, and Abu Hassan Jad, the latter of whom was mourned by the party in a statement. Ahmad Shuheimi is the brother of Khalil Jawad Shuheimi, commander of the "Al-Ridwan" Brigade affiliated with the party in Lebanon, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike last November. Israel launched intense airstrikes that led to massive explosions, as seen in circulated videos, targeting three areas in the Syrian city of Aleppo. According to activists, the Israeli airstrikes aimed at Hezbollah's weapons and missile depots in Syria, specifically in the "Jibrin" area near Aleppo Airport. The areas of "Al-Safira" east of Aleppo and "Kafr Jum" west of Aleppo also experienced airstrikes, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 36 Syrian military personnel, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
