Military Spokesperson of the Houthis: We Targeted an American Cargo Ship in the Gulf of Aden

The military spokesperson for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, announced that the Yemeni armed forces targeted an American military cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden. He stated that the cargo ship is named "Ocean Jazz" and was targeted in the Gulf of Aden with appropriate naval missiles. The statement read: "In victory for the plight of the Palestinian people and as part of our response to the American-British aggression against our country, the naval forces of the Yemeni armed forces, with the help of God Almighty, executed a military operation that targeted the American military cargo ship (Ocean Jazz) in the Gulf of Aden using suitable naval missiles. The Yemeni armed forces confirm that the response to American and British aggressions is inevitable, and that any new aggression will not go unanswered and unpunished."

He added: "The Yemeni armed forces confirm their continuation in preventing Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine until the aggression stops and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted. The forces are also continuing to take all defensive and offensive measures as part of the right to defend the beloved Yemen and as a reaffirmation of Yemen’s ongoing support for Palestine. The Yemeni armed forces will continue to respond to any American or British aggression against our country by targeting all sources of threat in the Red and Arabian Seas."
