Boussar: Finding Radical Solutions for Illegal Migration

Deputy Speaker of the House Elias Boussar received the National Security Advisor and Director of the Cypriot Intelligence Service, Mr. Tassos Tzionis, in his office at the Council today, Wednesday, accompanied by the Cypriot Ambassador Maria Hadjithodosiou and Director of Analysis Panayotis Komnas. They discussed common issues between the two countries, including the crisis of illegal migration by sea to Cyprus. Boussar emphasized that "Lebanon is also suffering from this crisis, and the international community must be urged to find radical solutions in this regard." He also welcomed a delegation from the Committee of the Families of the Port Martyrs, accompanied by former Minister Kamil Abu Suleiman, who assured him that any political solution must include a resolution to the port explosion file. Boussar promised to be "by their side at all times."
