Egypt confirmed on Tuesday that its stance on not coordinating at the Rafah crossing except with Palestinian and international parties is "firm," emphasizing that it will not rely on coordination with the Israeli side. The Cairo News Channel reported a high-level Egyptian source stating that "Egypt has reaffirmed its firm position on not dealing at the Rafah crossing except with Palestinian and international parties, and it will not depend on coordination with the Israeli side." The source clarified that Egypt "has informed all concerned parties that Israel's insistence on committing massacres and escalating tensions in the Palestinian Rafah undermines negotiation pathways and leads to grave consequences." The source also confirmed that the Egyptian security delegation is intensifying efforts to reactivate the ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange, in coordination with Qatar and the United States.
