The Deputy Secretary-General of "Hezbollah," Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed in a speech during a memorial event that "Israel is the enemy of Palestine, Lebanon, Arabs, and Muslims." He stated, "Support does not mean we are working for others; we support because we support ourselves. We must be with them, and they must be with us to strengthen the truth and resistance against this great injustice. Support is support for Palestine, Lebanon, the resistance, and the project that defeats the Israeli enemy."
He added, "What is the solution? The solution for stability is to stop the aggression, and this solution starts from Gaza, not from Lebanon. When asked to stop, we said that we provided support and a reaction. Tell those who started to stop, so that everything resulting from this aggression stops. Therefore, stability in Lebanon and the region and the cessation of the ongoing war across the region, particularly in Gaza, will not occur unless the aggression against Gaza completely stops, as all other matters are linked to confronting the aggression on Gaza."
He further stated, "As for the threats they launch, they do not concern us as if we do not hear them, based on the premise that we are accustomed to the Israeli threats since 2006 until today. They threaten and intimidate, but they have no capacity because they know that the deterrence and confrontation will be very significant, and they cannot carry out aggression or extensive actions without receiving a strong blow that teaches them a real lesson if they consider doing so. Therefore, for us, these threats do not add or detract. When the Israeli side decides to expand the aggression, it will receive a response with a significant blow and strong action. If it stays on the current track, we will remain on this track because we believe that support is achieved to this extent."
